With the Purchase Credit option you get the best of both worlds: you can shop around for the best deals on Sony products AND apply your Sony Rewards Points toward your purchase to get a credit to your Sony Card or PlayStation Card account! The Purchase Credit Form is also used to receive your bonus points for purchases of Sony products at authorized retailers.
Using the Purchase Credit option you can purchase Sony products virtually anywhere they’re sold, and then apply your accumulated Reward Points toward your purchase to receive a credit on your Sony Card or PlayStation Card account. Just follow the simple “How it works” steps below.
Once we receive and verify your information, we’ll automatically credit your Sony Card or PlayStation Card account up to the dollar amount of your purchase within two billing periods, excluding taxes, shipping and handling. The credit will be at the rate of $1 per 100 Sony Reward Points available in your account. We’ll deduct the corresponding number of Sony Reward Points at the rate of 100 points per $1.
When you purchase Sony products at authorized retailers you’ll automatically receive 1 point per $1 spent. To receive the additional 2 points per $1 spent, you must submit the Purchase Credit form, per the instructions below. Please note that you’ll automatically receive the 5 bonus points per $1 spent for purchases made with your Sony Card or PlayStation Card at SonyStyle.com, Sony Style retail stores, and SonyRewards.com, so there’s no need to submit a Purchase Credit form.
1. Purchase the Sony item(s) you want with your Sony Card or PlayStation Card at any authorized Sony retailer.
2. Log in at SonyRewards.com, click on "Your Account“ and then click "View Purchase Credit Form”.
3. Fill out the form, indicating whether you are requesting 1) a card credit 2) bonus points or 3) a card credit and bonus points. Print it, and then mail it to the provided address along with a copy of your sales receipt.
4. Once your request is processed (you’ll be notified via email if you provide your email address), we'll credit your account $1 for every 100 Reward Points you have available, including the points earned for the purchase you just made, within two billing cycles. If you’re requesting bonus points, they’ll be posted to your account within two billing cycles. (Please note that Sony Card / PlayStation Card Customer Service cannot provide a status of your Purchase Credit. Please allow two billing cycles to receive your confirmation. If you haven’t received confirmation after two billing cycles, please re-submit your Purchase Credit request.)
